Deborah Caruso, a partner in Dale & Eke, practices in the areas of business restructuring, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and state court receiverships. Ms. Caruso has represented individuals, businesses and creditors in Chapters 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcy cases and litigation matters for over 33 years. She is a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee and represents other bankruptcy trustees and state court receivers. She has also represented trustees, receivers, debtors and creditors in complex cases, some of which include real estate, retail, logistics and manufacturing industries.
Ms. Caruso has been active in the Indiana State Bar Association having served on the Executive Committee, as counsel to the President, and as president of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Section. She is a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Association and a frequent lecturer for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation and the Indianapolis Bar Association. In 2014, Ms. Caruso participated as a speaker in the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Central States Bankruptcy Workshop. She was selected as an Indiana Super Lawyer each year from 2005–2013. She has been included on the list of Top 25 Indiana Female Super Lawyers each year from 2006–2013, and on the list of Top 50 Indiana Super Lawyers in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Ms. Caruso is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
