Since becoming a member of the Arizona State Bar in 2004, he has tried more than 80 jury trials, and has been a frequent lecturer and guest speaker throughout the state of Arizona on a variety of topics related to trial techniques, strategies and methods.
Before becoming a personal injury attorney, Mr. Kelly was a prosecutor for the Pima County Attorney’s Office for five years, concentrating his efforts on homicide and gang prosecutions. In his career as a prosecutor, Mr. Kelly tried many felony jury cases and earned the 2006 “Top Gun” award given to the Deputy Pima County Trial Attorney of the Year.
Mr. Kelly uses his litigation experience to work for injured plaintiffs. “Representing people who are injured as a result of another’s negligence is similar to the work I did as a prosecutor,” says Mr. Kelly. “Even though I represented the People as a deputy county attorney, my goal was to achieve justice for victims who were affected by a bad event. My work gives me the chance to represent injured plaintiffs, to achieve justice for them, for the injuries they innocently have to bear, and for the pain and suffering they have to live with, often for the rest of their lives.”
A native of Tucson, Mr. Kelly began studying theatre arts at the University of Arizona before switching to the Business College. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2001. He was awarded a Juris Doctor, also from the University of Arizona, in 2004. He is an avid golfer in his spare time.
