Among adults under age 65 years, those covered by Medicaid were more likely to have been told they had heart disease (any type) than those with either private insurance or who were uninsured. Among adults 65 years and over, those covered by Medicaid and Medicare were more likely to have been told they had hypertension than those with either Medicare alone or private insurance.
